The Brazilian butt lift has become hugely popular in the last few years as more women now desire a larger, shapelier derriere. But what exactly is a Brazilian but lift and what is the recovery time.
What is a Brazilian butt lift?
A Brazilian butt lift is a butt augmentation procedure that combines liposuction and fat transfer. During the procedure fat is taken from specific areas like the tummy and flanks, and is processed before being injected into the buttocks.
What is the recovery time for a Brazilian Butt Lift?
The normal recovery time for a Brazilian butt lift is about 3 weeks, but patients are generally up and walking around within a day or two. However, there will be some swelling and bruising, as well as some pain in the first 4-5 days after surgery. Pain medication is prescribed to minimize any discomfort.
Sitting or lying directly on the buttocks should be avoided for 1-3 weeks, as this can affect the survival of the injected fat cells. Patients are normally able to return to work within 10-14 days, but this may vary, depending on the amount of liposuction done.
In order to get the best results possible, patients should carefully follow the post-op instructions of their plastic surgeon.
When will I see results after a Brazilian butt lift?
It typically takes 4-6 weeks to see results, as the swelling takes several weeks to fully resolve.
