Women all across the world are demanding the curve-enhancing procedure known as the Brazilian Butt lift. This fat grating procedure that involves the liposuction of fat from various parts of the body has become popular among women in search of the ‘perfect’ butt. But how much is known about it, and how long does it take to recover from a Brazilian Butt lift surgery (click here)?
Brazilian Butt lift recovery
The recovery time from the Brazilian butt depends a lot on the number of areas that undergo liposuction, but there is generally about a 2 week recovery period. Patients may need to take at least one week off work after surgery.
During recovery sitting for long periods should be avoided, in order to give the fat grafts a chance to connect to the nearby blood vessels. Patients can lie on their side or chest, but sitting must be limited. After the operation the transferred fat cells are very tender, and sitting can put tremendous pressure on them and cut off the flow of blood.
The surgeon may recommend wearing a compression garment for at least 3 to 6 weeks, so as to minimize tissue swelling. This will also speed up the healing process. Although sitting is not recommended, patients should walk around in order to stretch their legs and reduce the chance of developing a blood clot.
The results of the Brazilian butt lift can be somewhat unpredictable; therefore patients are advised to follow the recommendations of their plastic surgeon.
