A popular new procedure for men: Abdominal etching!

Abdominal etching

Although women are the usual patients for cosmetic procedures such as body contouring, men can also benefit. In fact, there’s now a popular new body contouring procedure for men – abdominal etching, which can give them the washboard abs they often work so hard at the gym to achieve. But what exactly is abdominal etching, and how does it work.

What is abdominal etching?
Abdominal etching is a surgical procedure that removes excess abdominal fatand contours the remaining fat pad, so as to enhance the definition of the abdominals. The procedure is highly beneficial for men that work out conscientiously, but are still unable to achieve the sculpted abs they desire.

How it works
The plastic surgeon will mark the area of the abdomen targeted for treatment, in order to determine where the tiny incisions are to be placed. A special cannula is then inserted under the skin and used to disrupt the excess fat, which is removed via a suction attached to the cannula. Removing the extra fat exposes the ab muscles, and the thin layer of overlying fat is then sculpted to achieve the desired definition.

Are you an ideal candidate?
If you are in good overall health and have abdominal muscles that you have been unable to tone despite a regimen of healthy eating and regular exercise, you may be an ideal candidate for abdominal etching. Ideal candidates should also have good skin tone and elasticity.
